Primary Elections:
Indiana conduct their primary elections on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in May. The next primary election will be held on May 7, 2024 which will be a County/Presidential election. The last day to register to vote for the Primary election will be April 8, 2024.
General Elections:
Indiana conducts their general elections on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. The next general election will be held on November 5, 2024. The last day to register to vote for the general election will be October 7, 2024.
2024 County/Presidential Election:
In office primary early voting hours for the 2024 Election will start on April 9th. All Precincts will be allowed to vote in the courthouse. Hours will be as follows: Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closed 12:30 p.m. -1:30 p.m. for lunch. Registered voters may also vote an absentee on Saturday, April 27th and May 4th and on Monday, May 6th from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the courthouse.
In office general early voting hours for the 2024 Election will start on October 8th. All Precincts will be allowed to vote in the courthouse. Hours will be as follows: Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closed 12:30 p.m. -1:30 p.m. for lunch. Registered voters may also vote on Saturday, October 26th and November 2nd and on Monday, November 4th from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the courthouse.
Per County Election Board with Party Chairs, County Commissioners and County Council Scott County has moved to a vote center where all voters may vote at any polling place in the county on election day. Voters may request an ABS Mail ballot application until April 25th. The county also has the Traveling Board available for voters who need this service to vote. When voting in office or at the polls, registered voters must present a current photo identification.
